The Reggie Evans Recreational Basketball League’s mission is driven by the idea of promoting a more competitive basketball environment for student athletes in the Pensacola area to grow and thrive in with the focus on fostering their talents while increasing their ability to compete at the next level. The mission further extends to raising each student athlete’s public service mindset – teaching them the importance of giving back while off the court and encouraging their personal growth to become a more responsible, proud, citizen within their community.

CODE OF CONDUCT RULES:

**BOTH COACHES AND PARENTS ARE EXPECTED TO TREAT OFFICIALS, OTHER COACHES, ALL PLAYERS, AND OTHER PARENTS IN A RESPECTFUL AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER. ANY COACH OR PARENT WHO HARASSES OR DISRESPECTS A FELLOW MEMBER/PARTICIPANT IN THE REGGIE EVANS BASKETBALL LEAGUE WILL BE SUBJECT TO REMOVAL FROM THE LEAGUE AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE REGGIE EVANS BASKETBALL BOARD OF DIRECTORS. ANY COACH OR PARENT WHO RECEIVES AN ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL FOUL FOLLOWING THEIR ONE GAME SUSPENSION IS SUBJECT TO REMOVAL FROM THE LEAGUE AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE REGGIE EVANS BASKETBALL BOARD OF DIRECTORS. RESPECT FOR THE GAME AND OTHER PARTICIPANTS IS MANDATED BY THE REGGIE EVANS BASKETBALL LEAGUE. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN REMOVAL FROM THE LEAGUE.**

AGE CUTOFF FOR ROSTERS IS OCTOBER 1, 2016. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS MADE.

ALL ROSTERS ARE FROZEN ONCE SET – ANY CHANGE NEEDS APPROVAL FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.

ANY ADDITIONAL PLAYER ADDED TO TEAM THAT HAS BEEN APPROVED BY BOARD OF DIRECTORS MUST PAY REGISTRATION FEE.

• No Jewelry or earrings

• Home team listed first on schedule

• Home team wears light color uniforms

• Only 1 coach allowed to stand during game

• Technical fouls can be assessed for profanity

• If any player of coach gets ejected, they will be suspended for the following game

• If any player or coach receives 2nd ejection, they will be suspended for remainder of season

• Any parent ejected from game will not be permitted to attend the following game

• Any parent ejected for a 2nd time will not be permitted to attend games for the remainder of season

GAME RULES:

AGES 5 – 6

• 5 minute quarters (24 minute game)

• Running Clock – Only stops on timeouts, dead ball and free throws

• Halftime: 2 minutes

• SPECIAL: At halftime, each player shoots a free throw

• Timeouts: 2 per half – 30 seconds each

• Overtime: 1 minute

• 7 Team fouls: shoot one and one
10 team fouls: shoot two free throws

AGES 7 – 8

• 6 minute quarters (24 minute game)

• Running clock – Only stops on timeouts, dead ball and free throws

• Halftime: 2 minutes

• Timeouts: 2 per half – 30 seconds each

• 1st overtime: 1 Minute

• 2nd overtime: Sudden death free throws

• 7 Team fouls: shoot one and one
10 team fouls: shoot two free throws

AGES 9 – 10

• 7 minute quarters (28 minute game)

• Running clock – Only stops on timeouts, dead ball, and free throws

• Halftime: 2 minutes

• Timeouts: 2 per half – 30 seconds each

• 1st overtime: 2 minutes

• 2nd overtime: 1 minute

• 3rd overtime: Sudden death first to make basket (center court tipoff)

• 7 Team fouls: shoot one and one
10 team fouls: shoot two free throws

AGES 11 – 14

• 20 minute half (40 minute game)

• Running clock – Only stops at timeouts, free throws and last minute of each half

• Halftime: 2 minutes

• Timeouts: 2 per half – 30 seconds each

• 1st overtime: 3 minutes

• 2nd overtime: 2 minutes

• 3rd overtime: sudden death first to score basket (center court tipoff)

• 7 Team fouls: shoot one and one
10 team fouls: shoot two free throws
